Last weekend I went to Bali with friends. There were 10 of us, all girls. Some are my best friends, some are friends of them, whom I usually only meet during dinner gatherings or parties. However I had such a good time, despite the fact that there was almost no sun during my stay there. It was raining most of the time, thus we could only spent 2 hours in the beach, sunbathe. (Resulted in NO TAN for me. Hiks.)
It was also a very short trip, only two nights. Since there are always so many things to do in Bali, I feel like the trip wasn’t enough. I feel like I need to go back, real soon.
Anyway.. After the trip I remembered a conversation I had with my cousin. She’s single and travels a lot, she seems like she knows what she wants and enjoys her life. One thing that I remember was, she told me that every travel must give a lesson. There is something that you must get after one vacation, otherwise it’s only a waste of money.
I have never really thought about it until last Sunday.. going home from the Airport after the Bali trip. You see I got sick most of the time there, mostly because of Gastritis, and a bit of a car – sick (which I think correlates with each other). And I’m also still recovering from my asthma attack recently, so I was still taking my meds. I mean, how old am I, 25 or 52? Why I got sick almost all the time? Errrr…
Then it came to me, that I need to be healthier. I have to be healthier. I have to live healthier. I need to start eating well, exercise on a regular basis, and just be positive in general! :) I know I haven’t been in my best self lately.. so yeah.
And that, my friends, is what I got from my Bali trip. Consider it as a bonus, not only that I was able to spend my weekend in such paradise, but I also learned a valuable lesson.
Here’s to a healthier me… cheers! :D
