day five

Day five - a picture of somewhere you've been to

That's a picture of a hill in Jurassic Coast , a world heritage site near Bournemouth. Went there twice during my stay in Bournemouth. first was with a uni tour, with my Romanian friends , Daniel, Suzana and Mihaela. and the second was on a spontaneous trip with my girlfriends, Nina, Sharon, and Elsi. the first one was during summer, it was bright sunny, and i managed to jump into the water (although only 10minutes-ish). we had fun, took lots of nice pictures and all that.

but the second trip was more memorable to me. and that picture, was taken during my second trip. Summer was almost over when I went there for the second time. to be honest i was not feeling to eager to go, as i've been there once and i read the weather's not gonna be too friendly. but knowing that i would go there with some good friends of mine, and it was an all-girls trip, i decided to go. who would wanna miss an all girls trip with your good friends? :)

Okay, so there were 4 of us. each with different personalities. and even some of us had "baggage" with them. they wanted the trip to become their remedy, to get rid of their (at that time) existing problems. So we went. the weather was brutally awful! there was barely anyone except us there. to reach to the beach, we had to walk for about 45 minutes uphill, and the weather was not helpful at all. we could barely see a thing, it was very foggy and windy. but we managed to reach the beach. during the long walks, we talked, we laughed, we took pictures. it was a really great moment, especially knowing that i'm leaving the country soon.

however, as you can see, there's a very high hill in that picture. yes. it's the one hill that changed my life (im not exaggerating here! :P) because it was the hill that i conquered! WOOHOOO~~
you know im not a sporty person at all. climbing hills or mountains were never on my to-do list. and to be honest, walking for 45 minutes uphill with that kind of weather was super tough for me already. but Nina, my dear friend who's really an outdoor person, who's climbed mountains and went skiing in deep snow, successfully persuade me to go with her and climb that hill. maybe to some of you, dear readers, that hill is nothing. but for me, it was a big thing! the weather's horrible, i wasnt really prepared and wasnt really dressed accordingly, and... im sort of afraid of heights. really. there were moments when i wanted to give up and join Elsi and Sharon who were waiting for us down the hill. but i managed to do it! i reached the top of the hill, the highest peak of Jurassic Coast! and that moment i know, that nothing is impossible. if i really want it, i can work hard to get it, no hesitations!

that, my dear readers, is one valuable lesson that i got from visiting Jurassic Coast that day. :)
