time flies, yes it does.
i feel like its still 27th September 2009, the day i wave goodbye to my loved ones in Soekarno - Hatta airport. the day that i bid farewell to my life in Indonesia.
i feel like its still 28th September 2009, the day i first set foot in Bournemouth, this pretty little town in UK's South-West coastline. Curiously wanted to explore my new home straightaway.. but got beaten up by sore throat and cold, so had to stay in bed instead and gave me the worst week of that year... being sick, homeless, still adapting to a completely new experience.
Yet, today is my 207th day. (yes, i counted! :P)
been living in Bournemouth for more than 6 months now.
i can say that its a been a very nice journey. full of ups and downs.
i survived my first week, despite being sick, totally clueless, didnt have any close friends, and left all my loved ones back in Indonesia.
then time goes by. day by day passed, i met new people, became friends with them, and even became best friends with some.
My turning point, i think, was Xmas holiday in December 2009. that time me and 9 other friends traveled across UK during 10 days. the experience really opened my eyes, made me so grateful for being able to have the opportunity of living and studying abroad. I saw so many things, i learned so many things, i met so many people. i felt their kindness and warmth, shared their joy and laughter.
Then come the second semester. the hardest semester in my course. in this semester, i learned even more about life. i felt my friends' confusion, i felt their sadness, their panic, all because of our terrible assignments. hence, we could still have fun. parties were on, we had fun, we played hard, and studied even harder.
now..im only 3 days away from my third semester. in this semester, i wont have lectures anymore. will only have a campaign planning project, where we have to pitch a campaign for a real agency in london (which still remains a mystery until the D-day). this campaign planning will last approximately a month until 20th may, then we will start to work on our dissertation, which due 16th August.
phew! lets just cross our fingers and hope that i will pass everything smoothly.. and graduate with flying colors! xx
