Saatchi and Saatchi project #01

Last year, a friend of mine joined a Facebook group. it's called "Saatchi&Saatchi Summer Internship 2010". at first i thought it was a scam, like many facebook groups out there.
but it's not. it's a real group for those who wish to get an internship in Saatchi&Saatchi, at their London office, as account management.

surely its very tempting to join. the only instructions found on the group was to wait, until further brief early this year.
and today, the brief came, by a broadcast message to the whole members of the group.

the aim was to challenge our ability to connect with the mass.
to do so, we must create a facebook group, and 50% with the most members, will go to the next round, to get a second brief.

it was very hard for me at first, as i know the way to generate ppl's attention is by stating something popular. truth is, i still dont know anything popular here in UK. i dont know the jokes here, the latest gossip.. sometimes i dont even get their jokes! so how can i compete with that?

it took me a day to find ideas... at first i came up with something about american idol/ xfactor/ simon cowell. thought it will be mainstream enough.. but still having second thought.
then an idea of my very own country, Indonesia crossed my mind.

let's just promote Indonesia then! this beaaaauuutiful country.. but sadly, not that many people aware of. most of my friends in UK never been to Indonesia. and as far as they know, Indonesia is Bali.

wait wait wait wait!! Indonesia is more than Bali!! we have Jakarta, Medan, Tanah Toraja, Bandung, Surabaya, Manado, Makassar, Ambon, Raja Ampat! and loootsss more..
so i made a group about that.

now please, please, please, fellow readers of my blog, please join my group, and help to spread it to your friends as well!
hopefully if enough people joined it, not only it will get me to next round, but it will promote Indonesia to the world :)
